Domaine Bousquet, Brut, Mendoza, Argentina
Tasting Note: A sparkling brut that is such a much better alternative to prosecco as an everyday sparkler with more finesse.
Pale-intensity lemon in color with small, tight bubbles, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of green apple, fuji pear, and blossom with hints of quince and caramel.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied brut has medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and finishing with a lemon-citrus-infused, medium finish.
The sparkling wine is straightforward, clean and slightly-reserved.
A good midweek sparkling wine to refresh the palate.
Bottle Note: Domaine Bousquet combines the knowhow of French winemaking with the exceptional climate and terroir of Argentina. The vineyard is located in the Andean foothills at 1,200 meters above sea level. The temperature amplitude helps to obtain ripened grapes with excellent acidity. The grapes are hand picked and the vineyard is certified organic. Chardonnay, pinot noir.
