Domaine Bousquet, Reserve Pinot Noir 2019, Tupungato, Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina

Tasting Note: A pinot noir with ripe fruit, a velvety texture and somewhat of a reserved, red-wine character.

Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of rhubarb, blueberry, red cherry, strawberry, red currant and crushed-dried violet blossom.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied pinot noir has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and slightly-grippy, medium-plus tannin ultimately completing with a medium-plus finish.

The wine is mostly straightforward and punctuated with moments of complexity on the midpalate.

A three-stooled pinot noir that sits on two legs of ripe fruit and one leg of reserved fruit.

Bottle Note: Domaine Bousquet combines the know-how of French winemaking with Argentina’s exceptional climate and terroir. The vineyard is located at the foothills of the Andes, at 1,200 m.a.s.l. Its thermal amplitude contributes to obtaining fully ripened grapes with an excellent acidity. The grapes are hand-picked and the vineyard is certified organic. Domaine Bousquet pinot noir is 100% pinot noir. This wine spent 6 to 8 months in French oak. Is a rich and complex pinot noir with good balance of acidity and ripe fruits. It has silky tannins and rounded with a pleasant finish. This wine goes well with red meats, cured meats and spicy seasonings.
