Domaine de la Roche Paradis, Rozier Côte-Rôtie 2016, Rhone, France
Tasting Notes: A Côte-Rôtie on the softer, less-concentrated side of the syrah spectrum.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of bramble, blackberry, leather, black olive, black currant, plum and red cherry.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied Côte-Rôtie has medium-intensity, black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and mostly-ripe, medium tannin.
There is midpalate complexity even as the wine has somewhat of a straightforward tilt on the attack.
Medium-throttle Côte-Rôtie.
