Tasting Note: A ruby-colored syrah with a Rhône-styled nose of angular black fruit including a blackberry underlay.

On the palate this light-bodied Rhône wine displays muted fruit and some black pepper and strawberry on the finish.

Bottle Note: Domaine de la Terre Rouge specializes in wines made from Rhône Valley varietals. These vines are cultivated west (ouest) of our winery on small, sandy loam hills (côtes) just outside the Amador County appellation, a few miles from the Mokelumne River. In the tradition of our other syrahs, this wine has a great flavor intensity and mouthfeel. It is made with current enjoyment in mind, rather than longevity.
