Domaine de Pallus, Messanges Cabernet Franc Chinon Rosé 2016, Loire, France
Tasting Note: In appearance alone pale, salmon-colored rosés are a joy to behold; so it’s nice when external beauty is echoed internally as well as is the case with this Loire Valley cabernet franc.
Pale-intensity salmon in color this wine has an aromatic nose of blossom, red cherry, strawberry and lemon citrus.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied cabernet franc shows understated red fruit and floral flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity and a slightly-creamy texture that gives a hint of lemon peel on the medium finish.
Would pair well with many a meal and would be a good rosé to pair with food year-round and not just during summer.
