Domaine Leroy, Bourgogne Blanc 2014, Burgundy, France. Wine Casual

Domaine Leroy, Bourgogne Blanc 2014, Burgundy, France

Tasting Note: An elegant white Burgundy that overdelivers and drinks like a more expensive chardonnay.

Medium-to-deep lemon in color, this wine has a nose of green apple, quince, lemon citrus and vanilla.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus bodied chardonnay displays a soft mouthfeel; it is a substantial version of the grape.

The wine finishes with lemon citrus and light-to-medium vanilla.

There is mid-palate complexity and balance between the fruit and restrained oak elements the oak being more complimentary than overwhelming as is the Burgundian style.
