Easton, E Zinfandel 2009 – Muted Black Fruit with Medium Acidity

Easton, E Zinfandel 2009, Fiddletown, California, Wine Casual

Easton, E Zinfandel 2009, Fiddletown, California

Tasting Note: This ruby colored zinfandel has a nose of black plum and raisin and notes of red cherry.

The wine shows muted fruit on the attack with medium acidity emerging back palate.

Bottle Note: This 2009 Fiddletown Zinfandel is made from vines in the Rice-McDonald Vineyard planted in 2000. This is our first separate bottling from this 5.8 acre, hillside vineyard of mixed zinfandel clones. We farm these rocky, granite soils in a holistic and sustainable manner using just natural amendments for farming, owls to keep the rodents in check, in-row cultivate, and lots of manual labor. “E” stand for Easton, ecological techniques, estate-grown, elevation and exquisite. – Jane O’Riordan and Bill Easton
