El 47 Del Mercado de Triana, Manzanilla, Sanlucar de Barrameda, Andalucia, Spain
Tasting Note: Manzanilla in a style that is eminently suited for everyday enjoyment with all of the classic sherry elements.
Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of toasted walnuts, bread dough, brioche and butter.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied Manzanilla has medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and completing with a medium-plus finish.
The midpalate is slightly creamy. Manzanilla for the masses that tastes as though it was intended for the 1%.
This Sherry is from Aceitunas El Puente in the Mercado de Triana in Seville, Spain where I picked it up in a plastic bottle the size of Coke bottle.
If you visit Seville, visit this market and sample the market’s house Sherries.
