El 47 Del Mercado de Triana Oloroso – A Complex Midpalate Coupled with Toasted Nuttiness

El 47 Del Mercado de Triana, Oloroso, Jerez, Andalucia, Spain, Wine Casual

El 47 Del Mercado de Triana, Oloroso, Jerez, Andalucia, Spain

Tasting Note: A very good, affordable oloroso that is off the charts as far price to value.

Medium-to-deep intensity amber in color, this wine has an aromatic, pronounced-intensity nose of bread dough, brioche, parchment paper, toasted walnut, yogurt, butterscotch, charred wood and hay.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied oloroso has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose ultimately completing with a doughy, medium-plus finish.

There is complexity in the midpalate coupled with a toasted nuttiness.

Who knew oloroso sherry could be such an affordable treat when bought at Aceitunas El Puente at the Mercado di Triana in Sevilla and brought back home to the U.S. in my suitcase.
