Tasting Note: A sensory-pleasing, Finger Lakes syrah with Northern-Rhone-reminiscent aromatics.

Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of raspberry puree, red currant, kirsch, black plum, violet blossom and bruised blackberry.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied syrah has medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and ripe, medium tannin.

There is some midpalate complexity with those wild and earthy notes one savors in Northern Rhone syrah.

Delicious.

Bottle Note: Element Winery was founded to explore cool climate terroirs, to produce wines which express their origins without preconceived notions. Delicate wines, balanced with a focus on mineral and floral aromas and high acids using a minimalist approach that allows the grapes to speak for themselves. Dedicated to producing small quantities of wine we love. Master Sommelier Christopher P. Bates & Robert W. Bates. 90 cases & 60 magnums produced.
