Tasting Note: DO Manzanilla Sanlúcar de Barrameda is known for producing the most delicate of Fino-styled Sherries.

This Oloroso Sherry from the most-popular producer of Manzanilla Sherries in Spain shares an almost Fino-like kinship with oxidatively-aged-Oloroso Sherry – the effect of which is the enjoyment of a paler, delicately-aged Oloroso Sherry with a slightly-higher acidity and lower alcohol that is almost Manzanilla-Pasada like in effect, but with both feet planted firmly in the Oloroso pool.

Medium-intensity amber in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of caramel, walnut, walnut shell, dough, hazelnut, coffee, blossom and quince.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied Oloroso Sherry is creamy in texture with rancio aromas suggested on the nose continuing to the palate as flavors.

The wine is medium-plus in acidity with medium-plus flavor intensity.

There are oxidative aging notes buoyed by the tanginess one associates with Fino Sherry.

A Sherry that will satisfy both your Fino and Oloroso urges.

Bottle Note: From amber to mahogany in color, with a striking aroma as its name indicated, full bodied with walnut notes, it is an extremely dry wine which has an enjoyable taste. This wine is best served with red meats, big game and game birds, cured cheeses, stews, roast turkey, roast pork, etc. It can be served at room temperature or slightly chilled.
