Fall Line Winery, Artz Vineyard 2012, Red Mountain, Washington
Tasting Note: A cabernet-franc-led red blend that has a pleasing structure, aromatics and complexity.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of red-and-black plum, hibiscus, raspberry, black tea, and red cherry.
On the palate, the dry, full-bodied red blend delivers flavors suggested on the nose with a mix of ripe-and-tart fruit flavors.
The wine has a long finish and mid-palate complexity while also showing balance between fruit and medium acidity.
The tannin structure is velvety and medium-plus in intensity.
A fine red blend to repeat!
Bottle Note: Cabernet Franc (50%), Merlot (46%), Cabernet Sauvignon (4%).
