For a Song, Chardonnay 2015, Caliche Lake Vineyard, Ancient Lakes of Columbia Valley, Washington

Tasting Note: A Washington state chardonnay with intensity of flavor, developed fruit and smoothness that delights.

Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a nose of quince, fresh pear slice, bruised green apple and blossom.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied chardonnay delivers medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose with a buttery, creamy texture that completes with a medium-plus finish.

The wine has mid-palate concentration and is more interesting than your average chardonnay.

Bottle Note: This single vineyard chardonnay from the Ancient Lakes AVA enjoys cooling breezes from the nearby Columbia River, enhancing its bright, precocious style. Aromas of bosc pear, spice and citrus move through a supple palate with lemon, pineapple flavors and a lively finish. Enjoy with fish, chicken or a fresh summer salad.
