Geoffroy, Meunier Les Tiersaudes Brut Nature Champagne 2013, France

Tasting Note: A robust Meunier-based Champagne that combines golden fruit and strength.

Medium-intensity gold in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of brioche, baked golden apple, caramel, pear, and toasted walnut with hints of red cherry.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied meunier Champagne has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose with additional notes of fresh-green apple supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with long a finish.

The sparkling wine has pleasing complexity in the midpalate and a slightly-creamy texture.

A meunier with age and oomph; not your pushover Champagne.

Bottle Note: Année 2013. Disgorged in April 2018. Lieu dit <> plantées en 1972.
