Georges Laval Brut Nature Rosé Les Cumiéres NV Champagne – A Rosé that Changes in Your Glass

Georges Laval Cumiéres Brut NV, Champagne, France, Wine Casual

Georges Laval, Brut Nature Rosé Les Cumiéres NV, Champagne, France

Tasting Note: Passionate wine drinkers desiring complexity line up!

This is a darker-than-salmon-colored rosé champagne.

On the nose you get aromas you would expect from cab franc, gamay or pinot noir.

Red fruit aromas include red cherry, strawberry and red plum. Aromas on the nose carry through to the palate with red cherry and red plum in the lead.

The champagne is medium in acidity and body. A lovely rosé with beautiful secondary-fruit undertones of strawberry, this rosé champagne is not ostentatious; it’s reserved and shows its flare in the expert wine making.

The wine changes in your glass over the course of an evening and does not maximize on any one dimension but rather shows as a well-constructed expression of what it is.

This rosé champagne captures the love of the winemaker and won’t be the one your average guest will go home talking about, but for wine enthusiasts in the room this sparkler will impress.
