Tasting Note: A museum-collection wine that channels German riesling in all the most flattering of ways.

Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of green-apple-slice-lightly-dusted in chalk (BTW, this is a good thing), green pear and white blossom with hints of petrol.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied riesling is smooth with vibrant medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose.

There is balance that proves Eden Valley riesling has the ability to improve with age.

Bottle Note: Joseph Gilbert established the first vineyard and winery in Eden Valley SA in 1847 and is recognized as being the first to plant riesling in Australia. His wines became renowned for their excellence receiving extensive international awards. Descendants Simon, Mark and Will continue his legacy with their Gilbert + Gilbert collection of hand-crafted cool climate wines. Youthful, kaffir lime aromas, alluring, long, crisp. Vineyard: 470 meters, north easterly aspect on course podzolic soils.
