Glen Carlou, The Curator’s Collection Chenin Blanc 2017, Swartland, South Africa

Tasting Note: A chenin blanc with body, depth of flavor and balance between acidity and fruit.

Medium-intensity gold in color this wine has an aromatic nose of ripe, yellow apple, white nectarine, Sweethearts candy and quince.

On the palate the dry medium-plus bodied chardonnay is wooded with a creamy body, notes of clove, flavor concentration and a smooth texture.

A fuller-bodied chenin blanc with bite thanks to oak.

Only available at the winery.

Bottle Note: This 2017 chenin blanc is one of only 3,000 bottles made with grapes picked from old vines in the Swartland. The Curator’s Collection from Glen Carlou represent the passion of a winemaker obsessed with creating a wine that is as personal and unique as an original masterpiece. The art of winemaking has never rung so true.
