Tasting Note: A stunning example of an oloroso-spirited sherry. Anywhere.

Brown in color, this wine has classic rancio aromas of browned butter, walnut and toasted hazelnut husk with hints of butterscotch.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied sherry is medium in acidity with concentrated pungent flavors that are demonstrative of 30-year-old VORS (Very Old Rare Sherry) aging.

Bottle Note: For almost two centuries, Gonzalez Byass have lovingly selected the finest casks for aging, which in time become vintage sherries. The wonderful partnership that is knowledge, time and mother nature provide us with magnificent olorosos and utterly sublime palo cortados. Once these fine wines reach their optimum balance and elegance they are bottled directly from the cask in small quantities to form the Gonzalez Byass Vintage Collection. This is one of only 987 numbered bottles of our 1987 vintage. Bottled 2/12/2015. Bottle No. 449/987. Mauricio Gonzalez-Gordon, Chairman.
