Grape Creek Vineyards, Bellissimo 2018, Texas
Tasting Note: A sangiovese-led red blend that is swimming in red fruit with background tannin that gives the wine pleasing structure.
Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of red cherry, strawberry, dried cranberry and red currant with hints of blackberry and raspberry.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied red blend has red-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and slightly-grippy, medium-plus tannin ultimately completing with a medium-plus finish.
The fruit on the mid-palate is bright with some punctuated moments of tartness.
A red blend to repeat.
Bottle Note: This beautiful Super-Tuscan style wine, featuring Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, exudes a captivating blend of cherries, spice, toasted oak and vanilla.
