Gruber Röschïtz, Königsberg Riesling 2015, Niederösterreich, Austria

Tasting Note: A tart, green-fruit inclined Austrian riesling with bright acidity and depth of flavor.

Pale-intensity lemon in color this wine has a nose of pear, quince, honeysuckle and lemon citrus peel.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied wine reveals tart fruit flavors suggested on the nose, supported by high acidity in a style reminiscent of Mosel riesling.

The wine has a long, lemon-citrus finish and medium-plus flavor intensity showing a slight bit of chalk on the finish.

Bottle Note: Ewald Gruber is a family owned winery that continues the tradition begun two generations ago. The winery is situated in Röschïtz, a small village in the Weinvertel (Niederösterreich). It’s famous for its delicate mineral wine. Ripe fruit from apricot on the nose and elegant.
