Herdade Dos Grous, Red 2018, Vinho Regional Alentejano, Portugal
Bottle Note: A Vinho Regional Alentejano, Portuguese red blend with a satin-like texture and restrained, ripe black fruit.
Deep-intensity purple-to-ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of black currant, black plum, blueberry, boysenberry, strawberry jam and hibiscus.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied red blend has medium-intensity, black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-minus acidity and ripe, medium-plus tannin ultimately completing with a medium finish.
There are notes of complexity along the midpalate that peak above the fruit.
A solid red blend that would pair well with lots of dishes from poultry to red meat.

Bottle Note: Crafted with the varieties Aragonez (35%), Alicante Bouschet (30%), Touriga Nacional (20%) and Syrah (15%). After vinification, the wine was aged for 9 months in French oak barrels. A fruit forward wine with integrated oak and round, soft tannins.
