Herederos del Marqués de Riscal, Verdejo 2018, Rueda, Spain, Wine Casual

Herederos del Marqués de Riscal, Verdejo 2018, Rueda, Spain

Tasting Note: A light, bright, green-fruit-led verdejo with a spritely body.

Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of green apple, pear, honeydew melon, lemon citrus and honeysuckle blossom.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied verdejo has medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and completing with a medium finish.

The wine is fresh with a bright texture.

A good midweek white wine to pair with a variety of dishes.

Bottle Note: In 1972, Vinos de los Herederos del Marqués de Riscal began to reintroduce the verdejo grape, thereby becoming pioneers, and the driving force behind the creation of the Denominación de Origen Rueda. As a result of their constant evolution, they have managed to develop a vineyard of the highest quality for making their best Vivid Sensations. Made from the native verdejo grape, this wine has lovely varietal aromas of flowers and herbs, with a rich yet fresh sensation in the mouth and a slight touch of bitterness on the finish typical of the variety, giving the Marqués de Riscal wines their characteristic personality. It is fermented for 20 days in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature between 13 and 16° to enhance aromas and freshness.
