Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard, Pinot Noir 2013, Seneca Lake, Finger Lakes, New York, Wine Casual

Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard, Pinot Noir 2013, Seneca Lake, Finger Lakes, New York

Tasting Note: A restrained, red-fruit version of pinot noir from the New York Finger Lakes.

Medium-intensity ruby in color this wine has a nose of red cherry, red plum and raspberry with just a tinge of cinnamon baking spice.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied pinot noir is soft in texture with a somewhat-restrained, red-fruit intensity as suggested on the nose.

Medium tannin is well-integrated and balanced with medium-plus acidity. There are notes of mid-palate complexity that complete with a slightly-tart, medium-plus finish that delights.

A pinot to repeat.

Bottle Note: Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard combines Old World tradition with New World innovation, hand-crafting elegant, well-balanced wines. Our ecologically conscious viticulture highlights the distinct qualities of our premier vineyard sites. 100% Pinot Noir. Seneca Lake A.V.A.
