Jean-Claude Debeaune, Château des Déduits Fleurie 2018, Beaujolais, France

Tasting Note: A pleasing Fleurie that tends toward the deeper, more-concentrated side of Beaujolais.

Medium-to-deep intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of red currant, red plum, raspberry puree, strawberry, blossom and red cherry.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied Fleurie has medium-plus-intensity, red-fruit flavors supported by high acidity and medium-tannin.

There are some notes of midpalate complexity followed with red cherry fruit percolating throughout.

A Beaujolais that would pair well with more complex dishes.
