Jester Hill Wines, Touchstone Roussanne 2017, Granite Belt, Queensland, Australia
Tasting Note: A characterful version of a Rhone grape that combines florality, flavor intensity and finesse.
Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of quince, ripe golden apple, dried lemon zest, blossom, honeydew melon and Asian pear.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied Roussanne has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity.
Bottle Note: A family-owned, boutique winery committed to the production of premium wines. Fermented in 100% new European oak lends this wine to an aroma of stewed pears and fig followed by a palate that is crisp, a hint of spice and fine characters of creamy pear and white pepper on the finish. Best with exotic, savory white meat dishes. Throughout history, jesters were known to entertain using their skills of humor and witty social commentary. We at Jester Hill Wines believe the enjoyment of wine is central to many of life’s experiences. At the gathering of friends, family and even fools, the occasion is made more memorable with Jester Hill Wines in moderation. Winemaker, Michael Bourke.
