Tasting Note: Pale lemon in color this pinot blanc (known as “Weissburgunder” in Germany) has slightly aromatic, medium intensity, floral notes on the nose along with some light citrus.

On the palate the wine feels round with chalky, dry acidity making itself felt on the attack through to the finish.

Since this wine is grown in the German-speaking part of northern Italy if you had to put it into an Italian white wine category, you’d likely put it in the pinot grigio category – perhaps referring to it at as pinot grigio-plus.
