Lachini Vineyards, Al Di Lá Chardonnay 2015, Willamette Valley, Oregon
Tasting Note: This wine tastes as though it could have been produced in France in the Macônnais, but it is produced in Oregon and it’s impressive.
Medium-intensity gold in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of green apple, pear, blossom and vanilla.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus bodied chardonnay is creamy in texture with medium acidity and green fruit flavors suggested on the nose completing with a restrained vanilla baking-spice infused finish.
There is mid-palate complexity and balance between the fruit and oak components of the wine.
An elegant chardonnay for a non-, ABC- or infrequent chardonnay drinker to rediscover the grape again.
Bottle Note: A blend of multiple clones 95, 44 & 76. Styled for balance varietal expression and richness resulting from stainless & wood fermentation plus extended aging on the lees. May this hand-crafted wine provide you enjoyment . . . beyond the beyond – Al di Lá. Only 197 cases produced.
