Las Leñas Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 – Flabby & Out of Balance

Las Leñas, Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, Mendoza, Argentina, Wine Casual

Las Leñas, Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, Mendoza, Argentina

Tasting Note: There is better wine to be had from Argentina, and this is far from it.

A one-dimensional cabernet that delivers an overwhelming, sophomoric, black cherry experience that is flabby and out of balance.

Deep purple to ruby in color this wine has a nose of blackberry, black plum and some notes of black cherry with vanilla baking spice.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied wine reveals intense sour black cherry which overwhelms on the attack barely allowing for any other perceptible fruit flavors to emerge.

Bottle Note: This cabernet sauvignon has aromas of blackberries with a subtle spicy touch. On the palate it is ripe and fruity with good balance. Enjoy with lamb, red sauce pastas, and strong cheeses.
