Tasting Note: Gran Reservas from Rioja offer great value for the money in the to aged wine, category of which this wine is an example.

Medium-to-deep intensity ruby in color, this wine has a pronounced aromatic nose of raspberry, black currant, black plum, bramble, earth and vanilla baking spice.

On the palate dry, medium-bodied wine shows medium-plus acidity, along with restrained flavors of black fruit suggested on the nose but with less intensity.

The wine has ripe, medium tannin and a smooth mouth-feel, however there could me more concentration and midpalate complexity.

Bottle Note: 85% Tempranillo. 15% Graciano. Our Gran Reserva represents the long multi-generational legacy of our family. The altitude and unique terrain of our vineyard land give our tempranillo and graciano grapes a natural acidity and finesse that only improves with aging. The Gran Reserva spends at least three years in oak barrel and many years aging in bottle – deep in the winery cellar until we feel it starting to become ready to drink. It displays notes of deep dark berry fruit as well as tobacco, plum and a touch of spice. It is beautifully integrated and opens up to become both strong & graceful.
