Tasting Note: A dependable Chinon that will please cabernet franc fans like me who enjoy earthiness, concentration and depth.

Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of forest floor, red plum, pencil shavings, crushed-dried violet petal and red cherry.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied Chinon has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and slightly-grippy, medium-plus tannin.

There is midpalate complexity and balance.

You could pair this with many a meal but enjoy it equally well by itself.

Serve slightly chilled.
