Llopart, Reserva Rosé Brut Cava, Catalonia, Spain
Tasting Note: The kind of excellent, rosé sparkling wine that proves there’s more to cava than the white cava you’re used to drinking.
Medium-intensity salmon in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of strawberry puree, red cherry, cranberry and blossom.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied rosé cava delivers bright, red-fruit flavors suggested on the nose with vibrant, medium-plus acidity.
There is midpalate complexity and a lemon-citrus-infused cherry, medium-plus finish.
A rosé cava to repeat.
