Los Vascos, Le Dix Los Vascos 2015, Colchagua Valley, Chile
Tasting Note: A refined, cabernet-sauvignon-dominated red blend that lingers on the palate.
Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of blueberry, black plum, fig, red currant and raspberry.
On the palate the dry, full-bodied red blend has medium-plus-intensity, red-and-black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and velvety, medium-plus tannin.
There is midpalate concentration and complexity that ultimately completes with a medium-plus finish.
An elegant red blend.
Made up of 85% cabernet sauvignon, the producers could have legally labeled the wine as a cabernet, but they’ve chosen to market it as a red blend adding in 10% carmenere and 5% syrah.
