Lucien Lardy, Moulin-à-Vent Les Thorins 2016, Beaujolais Cru, France
Tasting Note: Taste the color purple with this 2016 Moulin-à-Vent Beaujolais that has more concentration than you might expect from a gamay.
Medium-tending-towards-deep purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of red currant, red cherry, red raspberry, crushed-dried-violet blossom and strawberry.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied Beaujolais is bright with medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and slightly-grippy, medium tannin.
There is midpalate complexity, florality and balance between the fruit and acid structure.
Supple, soft and delicious.
