Lustau, Don Nuño Oloroso Seco Sherry, Andalucia, Spain

Tasting Note: A smooth, Oloroso Sherry that will make you want to sit in a soft, leather chair, cradle a glass between your palms and warm the Sherry as you take in the complex aromas.

Medium-intensity brown in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of roasted walnut, prune, caramel, fig, toffee, butterscotch, nutmeg, toast, marmalade and charred wood.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus bodied Oloroso Sherry is mouthcoating in texture with aromas on the nose continuing to the palate as flavors supported by medium acidity, high alcohol and medium-plus flavor intensity that completes with a medium-plus finish.

The wine is very good in quality because of the balance of rancio aromas and flavor intensity.

Start or finish a meal with this; you’ll win either way.

Bottle Note: Sign to mark the Oloroso “Soleras.” Served at cool room temperature, these dry Sherries have a genuine rich and nutty flavor. The house of Lustau owns large stocks of rare Sherries each representing the quintessence of its category.
