Marani, Tsinandali 2018, Kakheti, Georgia
Tasting Note: A Georgian white blend that is bright, fresh and mineral driven.
Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of green apple, pineapple, white peach and orange-and-lemon zest.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied white blend has medium-plus-intensity fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with a lemon-citrus-filled, slightly-chalky finish.
The wine is mostly straightforward and good in its dimension.
A good example of what Georgia has to offer.
Bottle Note: To taste our wines is to discover the secrets of Georgian winemaking transformed through the ages from father to son. Tsanandali is a blend of Rkatsieli and Mtsvane grapes. On the palate it is crisp and fresh with hints of banana and tropical salad. Its subtly creamy and complex taste is from partial aging in French oak. Food matching: Grilled salmon, seafood and vegetable dishes. Serve at 8-12°C.
