Tasting Note: A syrah that channels the Northern Rhone with alluring black-fruit and floral aromatics.

Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of blackberry puree, crushed-dried violet blossom, strawberry jam, red currant, black raspberry, leather and hints of clove baking spice.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied syrah has medium-plus-intensity, black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and completing with a long, black-berry-infused finish.

Complexity abounds on the midpalate and runs throughout the entire length of the taste.

A beautiful syrah!

Bottle Note: The Nellessen Vineyard was planted at 400ft above sea level in the rolling western Sebastopol Hills. Alban selections and clone 877 are planted on the steep due-east-facing Goldridge soils. This 100% syrah is deeply textured, exotic and fruit driven from being fermented 100% whole-cluster with wild yeasts.
