Mario Giribaldi, Langhe Arneis 2021, Piedmont, Italy
Tasting Note: A full-throttle, full-bodied Arneis with a mix of tart-and-ripe fruit.
Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of fuji apple, pineapple, bosc pear and blossom.
On the palate the dry, full-bodied Arneis has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose along with notes of lemon citrus and hints of caramel supported by medium acidity and completing with a medium-plus finish.
The wine is slightly creamy in texture with some notes of complexity underpinned by moments of tartness.
I’ve always said Arneis is a red-wine-drinker’s white wine, and this bottle proves that point.
Bottle Note: A white wine that represents Piemonte in the best way: good structure, minerality, flavor, freshness, floral and fruity. Goes well as aperitif and not only. Made with organic grapes.
