Mauro Sebaste, Roero Arneis DOCG 2014, Piedmont, Italy
Tasting Note: This Italian grape varietal, Arneis, indigenous to the Piemonte region of Italy shows ripe fruit with the restrained acidity of a gewurztraminer.
Medium-intensity lemon in color this wine has a nose of apricot, quince and green apple.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied Arneis displays warm-climate fruit flavors suggested on the nose along with medium-acidity.
There is round mid-palate complexity though not the bright acidity one normally associates with Italian whites.
