Miguel Torres Reserva Especial Cordillera de los Andes Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 – A Distinctly Chilean Cabernet for Those Who Enjoy a Cabernet with Some Layers

Miguel Torres, Reserva Especial Cordillera de los Andes Cabernet Sauvignon 2018, Maipo Valley, Chile, Wine Casual

Miguel Torres, Reserva Especial Cordillera de los Andes Cabernet Sauvignon 2018, Maipo Valley, Chile

Tasting Note: A Maipo cabernet sauvignon with an attractive combination of ripe fruit and savory notes.

Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of blackberry jam, green-pepper leaf, black currant, black olive, rhubarb and black plum.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied cabernet sauvignon has medium-plus-intensity black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported my medium acidity and ripe, slightly-grippy, medium-plus tannin.

The wine is creamy in texture with a hearty midpalate that ultimately completes with a medium-plus finish.

A distinctly Chilean cabernet for those who enjoy a cabernet with some layers.

Bottle Note: It is born in the “Parcela Coluvió” of the Maipo Valley. Its arid climate highly influenced by the proximity of the Cordillera de los Andes and by the anticyclone of the Pacific, allows the valley to have very cold nights during the season, ideal for great cabernet sauvignon.
