Montaudon, Classe M Brut, Champagne, France
Tasting Note: Champagne’s traditional elements are all present and coupled with a slightly riper fruit style than is the Champagne norm giving the wine a more welcome character.
Lemon-yellow in color this wine has a nose of quince, nectarine stone fruit, yeast, toast and caramel.
On the palate, the dry, medium-bodied champagne presents almost-ripe, yet tart, green and yellow fruit supported by high acidity and lemon citrus.
Tight bubbles cling to the inside of your glass and deliver the fruit profile to the nose.
A champagne that would be acceptable to a wide audience (i.e., the best parts of sparkler tilted in a palate-friendly style), and perfect for a wedding day as is mine today.
Bottle Note: Elaborated with some of the finest Grand Cru and Premier Cru grapes from the region of Champagne, the Classe M is a portrait of elegance and sophistication.
