Morandé, Gran Reserva Sauvignon Blanc 2020, Casablanca Valley, Chile, Wine Casual

Morandé, Gran Reserva Sauvignon Blanc 2020, Casablanca Valley, Chile

Tasting Note: A lemon-citrus-led sauvignon blanc with body and faint herbal notes.

Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of golden apple, lemon-citrus zest, nectarine, lychee and blossom.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied sauvignon blanc has medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity ultimately completing with a citrusy, medium-plus finish.

The wine is steely in texture with bright fruit.

A good-value sauvignon blanc.

Bottle Note: Wines fermented in oak “foudres” and vinified using traditional methods. Single vineyard. Elegance, structure and complexity are the characteristics of these “terroir” wines, which balance the freshness of the fruit with the subtlety of wood provided by their aging in French foudres. From our oldest vineyard, this wine was fermented in French oak foudres and a concrete egg-shaped tank and aged for 12 months. Bright straw yellow in color with delicate aromas recalling fresh herbs, honey and orange blossoms combines white and citrus fruits. The palate is both persistent and elegant, with a structure that presents good cellaring potential.
