Painted Wolf Guillermo Pinotage 2014 – Shows Purity of Fruit and Concentration

Painted Wolf, Guillermo Pinotage 2014, Swartland, South Africa, Wine Casual

Painted Wolf, Guillermo Pinotage 2014, Swartland, South Africa

Tasting Note: A South African pinotage that shows purity of fruit and concentration.

Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of blackberry, red currant, raspberry and violet.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied pinotage delivers ripe, black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose.

The wine has a smooth texture with ripe, medium-plus tannin.

Bottle Note: Inspired by the team work and energy of African Painted Wolves, our community of talented individuals combine resources to form the Painted Wolf Wines pack. The intense, organically cultivated, dry farmed Swartland grapes are traditionally hand punched and matured for 14 months in small American and French oak barrels. The result is a harmonious, hand made wine, with bold black and red berry fruit flavors and a savory mélange of exotic spice. Named after pack member, Guillermo (Billy) Hughes, Guillermo Pinotage 2014 will benefit from being bottle-aged for a few years. Our friend Jenny Metelerkamp has produced a fine Painted Wolk ink drawing for the label. Total production 16,300 bottles.
