Pasqua, Famiglia Pasqua Amarone Della Valpolicella DOCG 2017, Veneto, Italy
Tasting Note: The flagship Amarone Della Valpolicella from Pasqua that balances strength and restraint – like a bicep at rest 12 hours after a workout.
Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of black plum, red cherry and black tea herbal notes.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied Amarone Della Valpolicella has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and soft, medium-plus tannin completing with a red-and-black-cherry-infused, medium-plus finish. The wine is complex with personality and is elegant and balanced.
A perfect way to begin your Amarone journey.
Bottle Note: This Amarone is a great full-bodied red wine produced with a unique method called “appassimento.” The grapes are placed in wooden crates and left to air-dry in well ventilated rooms for about three months. The wine is aged in small oak barrels for 12-14 months and afterwards in bottle. This is an elegant wine with fragrances of currants, blackberries and notes of vanilla. Warm and rich, with silky tannins and a long finish. Serve at 18-20°C.
