Penner-Ash Élevée Vineyard Pinot Noir 2015 – Wish I’d Picked Up a 3rd Bottle

Tasting Note: If you want to taste the best of what Willamette Valley pinot noir has to offer, start with this bottle.

Medium-intensity ruby in color this wine has an aromatic nose of red cherry, strawberry, red plum and baking spice.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus bodied pinot noir is bursting with flavor intensity and mid-palate complexity.

The wine has a smooth texture, medium-plus acidity and a long finish.

I bought two bottles in their tasting room and wish I’d picked up a third.

Bottle Note: Owned and farmed by Tom and France Fitzpatrick, Élevée Vineyard is situated in the heart of the Dundee Hills AVA. We source both 115 and 777 clones from this 4-acre vineyard planted in 1998. Élevée Vineyard gives us a sweet textured palate with red fruit and spice – classic Dundee Hills.
