Ritual Sauvignon Blanc 2015 – Filled with Ripe, Tropical Fruit & Bright Acidity

Ritual, Sauvignon Blanc 2015, Casablanca Valley, Chile, Wine Casual

Ritual, Sauvignon Blanc 2015, Casablanca Valley, Chile

Tasting Note: A sauvignon blanc from Casablanca Valley that is filled with ripe, tropical fruit and lots of bright acidity in a way that’s perfectly balanced.

Pale-to-medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic, pronounced-intensity nose of peach stone-fruit, guava, baked quince, lemon peel, blossom and passionfruit.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied sauvignon blanc is filled with ripe, medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and completing with a long finish.

There is midpalate complexity and some creaminess.

This is the sort of sauvignon blanc that made people turn from chardonnay and appreciate the tropical fruit flavors that can be achieved with sauvignon blanc.

Bottle Note: Casablanca Valley is famous for sauvignon blanc. Its location between the rugged Pacific Coast and the soaring Andes Mountains produces wines with crisp and intense fruit flavors. This is an elegant sauvignon blanc with floral, citrus and tropical fruit characters, richness on the mid-palate, and a long, smooth finish.
