RJ Vinedos, Reunion Malbec 2013, Mendoza, Argentina
Tasting Note: Leggy and violet with cherry and strawberry on the nose this malbec is comfortable in its own skin (sort of like a 35-year old).
Hints of complexity play across your palate while medium-plus acidity refreshes without knocking you over the head. I enjoyed this malbec with French beef stew and it paired marvelously.
This is a solid wine for middle-of-the-week and quiet wine enjoyment.
Bottle Note: It’s what happens when you open a bottle of wine with friends, family, loved ones, and even sworn enemies. You know you’ll all agree on at least one thing: great wine brings us together. Reunion malbec is handcrafted in the family tradition by a father and his four daughters, using only estate grown, sustainably farmed grapes from Tunuyan, Valle de Uco. This full-bodied yet approachable wine is meant for all occasions.
