Tasting Note: Experience furmint from Hungary made in a dry, non-dessert style.

Pale-intensity lemon in color this wine an aromatic nose of green apple, lemon citrus and clove-and-vanilla baking spice.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied furmint is creamy in texture with secondary flavors of clove and baking spice showing ahead the primary fruit.

The wine is medium-plus in acidity, flavor intensity and in finish.

The furmint is very good in quality because of the complexity and integration of the tannin.

Drink now; not suitable for aging.

Bottle Note: May we present to you this intriguing grape, furmint, the familiar taste of something very different. Furmint is one of Europe’s foremost grape varieties with a history stretching back centuries. Overlooked, for now, by other winemaking countries we at Royal Tokaji have taken this strangely delicious grape to our hearts and created a wine of character and distinction. It can be enjoyed with a bowl of olives and partners dishes with chili and warm spices as well as cream sauces or garlic. We’ve experimented with many tastes and find this to be a most agreeable food wine, particularly if you’re eating oriental – perfection.
