Saget Pères & Fils, Muscadet de Sèvre et Maine 2015, Loire, France
Tasting Note: An enjoyable Muscadet made from the Melon de Bourgogne grape in the Loire.
Pale lemon in color this wine has a nose of green pear, green melon and lemon citrus.
On the palate the dry, light-bodied white is tart on the attack with medium-plus acidity with flavors of tart-green-apple fruit and just-ripened lemon.
The Muscadet also has a briny quality about it.
A perfect complement with seafood.
Bottle Note: Guy Saget is a family owned and managed, 8th generation winery specializing in the wine of France’s Loire Valley. We are proud to bring you approachable, well crafted wines that embody the spirit and flavors of the region. Our Muscadet is crystal-clear with golden straw and green gleams of color. A very elegant nose with a mix of pears and peaches is followed by an elegant but lively finish. Ideally pairs with a wide range of seafood dishes.
