Santa Petronila, Fino Sherry En Rama, Andalucía, Spain
Tasting Note: A svelte, velvet-glove of a Fino Sherry that shows aged Fino is just as much a treat as vintage Champagne.
Light-to-medium-intensity gold in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of bread dough, medium-browned toast, almond and hints of caramel dust.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied Fino Sherry has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and completing with a bready, medium-plus finish.
Subtle complexity expresses itself on the palate with suppleness and restraint.
Fino personified from a small local producer you’re unlikely to get a hold of outside the near vicinity of Jerez.
Bottle Note: The smallest Sherry Winery in the world, offers this superior Sherry obtained from grapes matured by the Andalusian sun and the albariza soil, conserving a thousand-year-old tradition of winemaking. Mature vines cultivated with care, harvested by hand and aged in oak barrels, are transformed into magic.
