Sébastien Dampt, Les Vaillons Premier Cru Chablis 2016, Burgundy, France
Tasting Note: A Premier-Cru Chablis that is a combination of classic high acidity and ripe fruit from a warmer vintage.
Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of pineapple, golden apple, lychee, nectarine, blossom and orange zest.
On the palate the dry, full-bodied Chablis has medium-plus-intensity, orchard-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with a long finish.
The wine is steely in texture with a mineral-driven midpalate and tart acidity that refreshes the senses.
A Chablis-lover’s chardonnay.
